Hi

I have a 2004 Stilo Abarth with all the bells and whistles.

On Tuesday I had the seats steam cleaned and all was well. I then went away for three days and when I returned this was the situation:

The right indicator light on the dash is always on.

The rest of the instruments behind the steering wheel don't work, no illumination, speedo, computer telling me what gear i am in, clock etc.

The bank of buttons to the right that control the dashboard illumintation, mode etc don't work.

Everything else still works, it drives fine, indicators and lights work as do the flappy paddles for the gears, although it doesn't show me which gear I am in. The connect+ radio doofer also works, apart from the readouts which calculate the fuel, distance etc, as I assume they rely on the instruments that aren't working.

I hope that this is just a fuse that has blown, or is it much worse?

Has anyone had the same issue? and if so what was the culprit, and how much am I going to get fleeced to have it fixed?

Thanks in Advance.

Sounds like your instrument cluster will have to come out - it could just be a bad contact (e.g. if it was going bad anyway + lots of steam/moisture in the air..) or you might need to replace it (these are not that cheap). Cluster is a smart node, so a fiat examiner can talk/diagnose it – might be worth a shot before you start doing any work (e.g. no other errors and no coms with cluster would confirm the above.. ) also i think a few people did have a similar problem on here – try using search ;)

I pored through the forum and used search, but most similar issues were cable based on older cars.

Thanks for the reply though, I have booked it in at the dealer to go through the issue.
