While driving a week ago, the instrument cluster just went dead. Every dial, lights and LCD died. At first the clock display worked, but frozen in time :). When starting the engnition, the airbag indicator works, and some times the panel starts up again and works a few seconds, before it dies again. I found this link on youtube that actually looks similar to my problem: search "stilo disco" on youtube.

Hope someone can help me, as the dealer wanted £1.000 for a new one + work :-(.

Regards,
Bjørn Ivar

Could be a problem with the power supply or earth.
Another possibilty is corrosion of the circuit board inside the instrument cluster - you can clean it with a good electrical contact cleaner (without oil!) , brush with a toothbrush , let it dry and reassemble.

Thanks your your reply. Well, the dealer said they tested with another cluster and that worked fine, so it cant be the powersupply? Ill try with a el-cleaner and a toothbrush, the circutboard just looks too clean and new for it to make any changes...
