Hi,

I recently had an issue with the drivers side electric window, where it disappeared into the door and refused to come back up again... I took the door interior panel off and managed to lift the glass back up and fix it into place (I can live with a functioning window for the time being as the cable had sheered itself).

All was well, until I got to work, tried to get out and the door handle will not work. :( The irony here, is I can't wind down the window to open the door from the outside :bang:

I've had a look and the cable still pulls when you open the handle and I can hear the mechanism clicking. It looks to me as if the cable needs tightening? I can't figure out how to do it so any suggestions would be useful... I'm getting tired of clambering across the passenger seat to get out the car

I had a similar problem where I would pull on the passenger side interior/exterior handle and the door wouldn't open. This all despite the regular whirring noise when you unlock using the remote. Took the Stilo to a garage and they found the deadlock bolt was still engaged and wouldn't release. Could be similar for you, mine just needed a new motor - wasn't too expensive!

Got the same problem as mentioned by Westi. Anyone know if the mechanism for the inside door opener handle can be adjusted/ tightened up. When I pull mine it doesn't release the catch at the side of the door enough to open the door. Got the interior door card off but can't see anything to adjust it. It's a 3 door car and it's the driver's side.
Cheers

Removed the catch handle/pull wire mechanism from the interior door panel and twisted it round a few turns to tighten up the wire and it seems to work fine.
