Abarth as of yet hasn't been done [to my knowledge]with the induction and remap so its all on the day and as no two cars are the same then there's no guarantee that the out come for every car will be the same but the work will up your BHP whatever you have (y)

Re: Stilo Rolling Road shootout / Tuning day...

hey,

Ok,

Angel tuning says stilo can get 17 more bhp from their re-map, but as you say no two car or company is the same, so we'll just have to see :)

Not just company remaps but two individual cars. if i remember right thats max quoting with the BMC air filter not just the remap so yours may get say 10hp(n) .
If your car puts out 175hp before tune it doesnt mean they can get 17 on top of that.
Its all very unprecise and unpredictable.

Re: Stilo Rolling Road shootout / Tuning day...

right, i dont think its worth going on the RR without a remap or any work done, so we'll have to see, can they not do any better on the remap price?

in https://www.fiatforum.com/lets-talk-fiat/75094-group-buy-angel-tuning-remaps.html theres a discount from angel for multiple cars, if theres that many going cant they do something to bring it down a tad? 2-400 is a bit steep for me at the moment (christmas shopping or get stuff done for car ...)

heres hoping! if not i'm up for a watch, had my old sunny gti on the RR at powerstation, nice but not worth having it done unless you have made some kinda mod, otherwise i'll just photocopy someone elses graph for 10p and call it a day!

hey,

Angel tuning e-mail me a quote of just a re-map £360 with an increase of 17bhp and with an BMC induction with re-map it's an extra 24bhp, but thats £545  really expensive.

Re: Stilo Rolling Road shootout / Tuning day...

I feel that the tuning company should have confidence in their product.

Maybe a sugestion would be to pay them per additional BHP gained from control run.

That way you / we get value for money and the tuning company get paid for actual work done.

Just a suggestion???

Well that should be enough to make up all your minds then £545

and they are useing the BMC DIA now which wont get you as much power as the GSR induction kit built FOR your cars :worship: witha live remap

Re: Stilo Rolling Road shootout / Tuning day...

I can speak to Pete to see if we can get a group disco...

But to be honest guy's at 200 that is cheap as chips! The 400 is a rough guide for remap and induction kit!

17bhp quoted by Angel might not sound a huge hike in power but believe me the difference would be VERY noticable! Its not just bhp that we're looking for but the torque figure's is what make the most difference on the road!

I'll get a more precise cost figure from Pete to give you guys a better idea..

But please remember most of all these are a live remap tailor made for each individual car so bhp/torque figure's could vary a bit with different mods even a change in the temp throughout the day could make the difference!

Hopefully we can work on a date a.s.a.p!

Re: Stilo Rolling Road shootout / Tuning day...

Yes Nick your dead right about the temperature as on one run with mine after the induction had been fitted it ran at 117BHP  :slayer: but then on the next run it was a bit warmer and ran at 113BHP :( and then remapped ran at 119.7 :slayer: nearly 120bhp from and original run [unmodded]at 99bhp think that could have been my dicky injector that did that though [now fixed] :)

Yes but that aint with a RR aswell so you dont know wot it is putting out(you gonna take there word for it?) plus it may need a slight tweek to get the best which i dont think they'll do as the best way to work this out is on a RR.
Plus they seem to be arsed with is to push the bmc which makes u think why?

Re: Stilo Rolling Road shootout / Tuning day...

Goy hold of him finally!!!:bang:

Right... I have asked for a more precise figure for the inductions and remap's rolling road. I dont think it'll get much cheaper than it already is though..

This week is the 'promised' release for the first 2 test induction's on the 2.4's :D he said I could go up as soon as friday for a rolling road and test the induction's but I've told him I'll wait for the RR till we have enough kits for the 2.4's as these seem to be the only inductions drawing interest so far..
But this does mean that we could be only 2 weeks away from a brummy shootout! It looks like we'll be making it a sunday day out if thats cool with everyone else?
