only a quickie!

I might have sourced some anti-rattle clips that will work in a stilo rear brake calliper as i am missing one- leaving me with a nice rattle.

Can the pad be removed from the rear calliper without having to use the 'dreaded tool' to put it back?

told you it was a quickie!

Its down to the thickness of the shim really ..take out the pad and you have X amount of space try to put the pad and shim in which will have thicker dimensions than what came out = Doh :bang: it wont go in..the piston wont need a great deal of winding in tho Dan to achieve the required space to slip a shim in..go on give it a go you will be surprised how easy this job is ;)

I'm sure the sprung clip just clips in the side so in theory you should still be able to slide the caliper back (I did say in theory :D)

I still don't understand why you just don't buy the proper tool - what's £15-20 these days

Must be a real crap set to fail on just a caliper bolt

My £12.50 set from Focus doesn't miss a beat :D

You could even try LiDL :chin: - they had some sets in last time I was in

Yeh, I mean my halfrauds sockets are ok, but the actual ratchets are poo when you use them every day - and cheap allen keys just round off, so had to get snap-on, and theres definitely only one make of torque wrench!

My cheapo Homebase set has had a battering and they are still going strong. The ratchet handle also doubles as a hammer when I'm too lazy to get one from the tool box ;)
