I actually like him, but yesterday his spokesperson said:

"David Blunkett has the right to be thought of as innocent until proven guilty"

This just pisses me off no-end considering his recent changes to the law regarding that ideal.

Can't see the problem if he pulled a few strings. It's a perk of the job, I get boxes of free paper clips from my work.

I am not arguing whether not he is guilty/right or wrong or whatver, just whether or not it pisses you off him saying that after what's happened recently.

No it doesn't me. I reckon he'll be found innocent. And like poggy said what can you do as home secretary if you can't fast-track a visa or two?!

Hi,

I think I would sack the spokeman.

"David Blunkett has the right to be thought of as innocent until proven guilty"

Makes it sound as if they are just waiting for him to be found guilty.

Shouldn't it be.

"David Blunkett has the right to be thought of as innocent unless he is proven guilty"

I did have a quick look on E-Bay and he isn't selling Visa's on there, so he is probably innocent.

i agree with poggy - its a perk of the job. I get my driving license done on same day turn around because of who i know and i had my passport application sat on the head of the UK Passport Agency's desk for a week before my 16th birthday 'cos i needed it urgently afterwards.

this life is all about who you know, not what you know.

As long as the nanny "should" have got it in due course, i dont see a problem with what he did

If anyone knows him can you get him to hurry the f**k up with my wifes visa..
It really pisses me off when we have gone through so much crap following every law to get her legally in this country and people like that turd get anybody in just cuz they can... we have kids, a house, and all that stuff...shes been living here for 3 years and can't get a full visa till next july...
I tell you what, if I see him before he sees me im gonna lamp him. hehe
