so no complaints

So anyway, If you dont already know, Last week I sold my lovely little Cinquecento sporting and purchased a 1988 E reg MK1 Fiat Uno Turbo.
The shell is on 125000 miles but the engine had a rebuild around 70000 miles so the engine is good for around 55000 miles. its had a recent full service and seems in good condition and runs very well at the moment although I will be getting it tuned up properly on a rolling road soon (we need to arange a day and time alex/dunc
).
The exterior bodywork itself is generaly good. paint work is genraly scratch free except some nasty children keyed the front wing the day the previous owner got it (not nice
). The exterior paint work is the least of my worries though as after ive attacked the rust and sorted what needs sorting, its going for a respray
so key marks can wait.
Known rust patches so far are :
These are the places that are immediatly visable. I havent yet stripped out the interior for a look yet but will be doing today and will report back with more pics later.
I'll be restoring any rust I can myself (if holes in non major places can be fibreglassed etc) but anything in a major place (eg, holding the car together) that isnt surface will have to goto a garage to be cut out and re-welded.
I'll be spraying as I go so will tackle the interior first and then the exterior which ill just primer (will look a mess
) and then its off to a shop to be sprayed
HOPEFULLY I would like this complete by Auto Italia Stanford Hall
Will keep updating as I make progress

Known rust patches so far are :
- bottom of drivers door (bad)
- Bottom of passenger door (ok)
- surrounding the filler car (doesnt look too bad from the outside)
- bottom corner of drivers rear quater panel (indicates that rust behind filler cap is probably worse than it looks)
- bonnet (stone chip gone bad but replacing bonnet anyway)
