Hey Guys,

I have just bought a mk2 Punto 16v Sporting with immobiliser and after reading the other posts I am paranoid about it being broken into. I want to fit an alarm to it but I don't want to have to carry around a seperate fob just for the alarm, what I would like to do is just use the current remote central locking button on the key.

Is it possible to fit something like a TOAD alarm and just use the key to activate and deactivate the alarm? or will I need to have a standard Mk 2 alarm fitted and have it coded to work with my key?

If you buy a standard FIAT Alarm you will get extra key fobs as you rightly said. I believe you can then get an extra unit which integrates the alarm and your remote central locking

Anyway, I have a FIAT Meta 1 Alarm for sale as I recently sold my sporting before getting around to putting the alarm on.

Its not too expensive to have fitted and I think it will do the business (I hope).
