Hello everybody!

Newbie here and also on Fiats and Common Rails. Hoping to find some help from you guys

I just found a cheap 2004 Scudo that I happened to buy. Car would not start but after jamming the contacts of the dual relay (the contacts that feed the ECU) I got the car running. I tried swapping a new relay but then the car would not start.

Can somebody point me in the right direction? Ignition switch? I think I have checked all the fuses but I may need to double check. Also the temp meter would not work the first few times I ran the car but now suddenly it's working fine.

Problem 2. You can clearly hear that the engine lacks compression on at least 1 cylinder during cranking. I'm not a pro but I would say almost zero on one cylinder and OK comp on the others. The cold idle is also very rough and you can clearly feel the car shaking sitting in drivers seat. However, it starts up right away and the hotter the engine gets, the nicer it runs and when reached operating temp it runs okay and it feels like all the horses are still in place. Still lacking compression hot though. Any thoughts? The car also just passed the Finnish emissions test.

Checked the codes (after clearing) and I got two codes, 0100 flow sensor and some other I don't remember but it was related to the master relay. The car has run 380.000 km and the history is pretty much unknown.

Any thoughts? :worship:

I'll try searching some more.

Sorry about the code, it's P0100. I use Delphi AutoCom for the diagnostics.

So,

Thread: 2-0-jtd-wont-start-plz-help

Here are some 3 pages and 2 guys with same problem but no fix, other than pulling the wiring loom, checking wire by wire and MAYBE find the problem...

Another one with no answer (maybe because of the way it's typing :slayer:):

Thread: Angry power to ecu SCUDO 2.0JTD

Please, what am I searching for?

Well, you can read it in the Title. Engine code RHX.

I thought the electrics to the master relay were more car-specific than engine-specific but I've been wrong before.

Nothing new on the electricity side but I think I have some news on the compression problem.

It seems like the intake valve on nr. 4 is not shutting correctly.

Anyone seen anything similar? Any ideas on how to get the tappet moving without removing camshaft?
