Check you have the latest Fiat V1.20 software issued 15/07/2010. Otherwise, I suggest you contact the manufacturer at: http://www.hanatech.net Or an agent in Russia such as FARLAM: farlam@yandex.ru

Posts: 464 Thanks: 46 Trader Rating: 0 ![]() | Re: Fault codes, if you know the meaning of any codes please post them here common cause of this is the turbo overboost valve being faulty. Having said that with these symptoms I might suspect a vacum in the fuel, is the breather pipe for the fuel tank blocked? is the pump in the tank operating correctly? has the fuel conditioner unit under the car had a knock and twisted a pipe? could be just needing a new fuel filter? . Just some ideas worth checking.

Posts: 2 Thanks: 0 Trader Rating: 0 ![]() | ![]() I have a 2006 Fiat Grande Punto and I am having trouble getting it started on cold or damp days and the engine management light is on all the time, I borrowed and used a scanner and it had come up with fault code P0115 after seeking advice I changed the lambada sensor fault still showed more advice was the ETC sensor was faulty so I replaced that also the breather pipe from the manifold was all gunked up so I replaced the hose changed the are filter etc and the fault is still their someone also suggested flushing the engine through and replacing the oil and filter which I did and used the best oil you can get and hey presto the fault is still their also told to detach the negative lead from the battery and leave for 45 to 60 mins so the ECU would reset so I disconnected it left it over 2 hours reattached it and as advised then took it for a drive so it could reset itself and guess what I stil have the problem anyone any ideas what else I can do apart from use a gallon of petrol on it?

Posts: 13,677 Thanks: 1459 Trader Rating: 5 ![]() | Re: Fault code P0115 plus problems starting P0115 = Engine Coolant Temperature Circuit Malfunction. It doesn't neccessarily mean you need a new sensor. Check the wiring and connectors between the sensor and the engine management ECU. The temperature sensor is a NTC (Negative Temperature Coeficient) device, meaning it's resistance will be lower, the higher the engine coolant temperature gets. As you are having trouble starting in cold weather, this suggests there is a short somewhere in the circuit and the ECU is getting a hot engine input instead of a cold one.
