That looks a nice example saw that for sale on a couple of sites. I think you've got a good one judging by the pictures. Lowering isn't easy on these cars as they have a rear leaf spring arrangement. Personally I wouldn't even both trying. Abarth Cromadora alloys would look good on there - keep an eye out on ebay

Lower by retempering the spring. Quite easy actually if you take it to a leafspring company.

Know any good ones? From what I gather retempering of leaf springs is rather a black art and difficult to get right, I could be wrong though.

How is your restoration coming on Andy? Probably about as well as mine, slowly.

Well being from Manchester [you know the city with the best football team, and no not man city!!:p ], i would use Manchester Springs. they have been in business for ever! Really old company and they know what they are doing. Can even make new bespoke springs. I would get one of the classic mags. There are always companies in there who advertise spring reconditioning.
My project, well due to other cars being usual stubborn things in winter, had lots to do, so ive not even taken the cover off the strada yet to get started. The rear end of the strada has sagged, and the spring will need retempering. One thing is concerning me, when i got the car, it had fully polybushed front end, and its very very stiff. I think maybe too stiff. We shall see.

Off the subject here but it's about the famous  Fiat strada, did anyone notice on TV's 'deals on wheels' a strada in that collectors garage/ Over 50 cars including ferraris/morris minors etc....& a strada!

Twas me. My barn -I've 3 full of cars. probably around 25 pre 1990 Fiats including 4 130tc's, a 105 & 85 Strada.
But a load of 60's and 50's Fiats too
Cheers

Hi, I have an Abarth which I've owned twice, It is currently getting some attention due to some rot, I used to race it in the mid nineties in the Slick 50 Road Saloons and the AutoItalia series. I love it :)

Hello everone

I own a strada 130 tc and as long as you keep on top of the tin worm thay are fine no worse than any other car of its time.

I took my car to the classic car show at the NEC this year and it got lots of good comments. There are still a few good ones out there.

Thanks Phil
