Hi, only the second time of posting on here. We have the above Qubo which recently began leaking oil on our driveway. Took the car in and was told it was the oil filter casing that was at fault, Had that replaced costing £315, a few days later we noticed the same oil spots on our just cleaned driveway so right away took the car back to the garage. They kept the car overnight claiming that no oil appeared but that they found some "loose nuts which we have tightened at no charge". Today more oil leaks on driveway so took car back to garage. They phoned a couple of hours ago telling me now it is the cylinder head gasket that's causing the leaks and will cost £530 including labour which they will only charge at "trade rates". Am I being taken for a total mug? Has anyone else had c.h. gasket repaired and if so, how much were you charged?

OK, first big correction. The £315 included £45 MOT plus £45 for new oil filter housing + £98 labour + various clamps for exhaust centre section +VAT

Suggest that you phone at least another 2 dealers and get a quote for a cylinder head gasket replacement, at least then you will have some other figures to see if you are being ripped off?

Also as it's out of warranty, how about a good reputable independent garage,?
