Hello, I've recently bought a fiat punto gt2 and i'm having trouble with it.

When the engine is dead cold the engine will start and idle fine for about 2 mins. Once it starts to warm up the idle goes lumpy. However if you rev it above 2000rpm the engine smooths out.

The misfire occurs at idle or sub 2000rpm when the engine has warmed. Just fully serviced and the plugs, Leads, and coil pack have all been changed and I recently changed the knock and tps sensor with no avail.

I've checked all the vacuum hoses for breaks etc but all seem ok.

Any help or advice much appreciated.

Sounds Like Similar Problems That I Have Had Recently ? Did The Misfire Seem Less If You Slowly Rev The Car Or Was It Just As Bad As When You Give It A Full Blip ??

try the air flow meter(afm) maybe that.
or maybe lamda senc .

As soon as you give it some throttle the idle smooths, if you steadily increase revs the idle will smooth above 1500 rpm. if you blip the throttle the misfire continues. What were the symptoms of your problem and the resolve?

I would say clean out your afm with some carb cleaner.

Also the lambda is a possibility.

Check all of your vac hoses again, very thoroughly. Bear in mind that there is a vac hose that goes INSIDE the ECU.
