General Punto GT phase sensor

So I found out that my gt has a phase sensor code.
What sets the code? a bad sensor?
I have read that it needs to be timed with the engine timing, if its wrong could it set the code?
I only have found one for sale online and is quite expensive.
I looked at the sensor connections and they are good (no corrosion)

Does anyone have a foto of a correctly instaled phase sensor. I tried to fiddle with mine and now the idle is very high.
