I have one of the last Punto MK1 on the drive not being used. It was the car lately used by my daughter but for health reasons she is unable to drive. It was parked up over 2 years ago and is under a car port. It gets moved regularly back and forth to save the tyres (which are a premium brand). Started up and run about once every 6 months. Fitted with factory sunroof and finished in silver and a 1.1 S. When parked it was running perfectly but obviously no current MoT.

Any interest?

It's covered 107,000. New clutch at 80,000 to fix a stiff clutch pedal. New timing belt at about the same time. Plenty of oil changes in its life (some of which my daughter helped on). Bought as a dealer registered car in 1999 with zero miles.
You'll have to help me on pricing as I don't think I want to insure it for an MoT. I did ask if my MoT garage could pick it up but they declined.

PS It's in SW London/Surrey border

Without aN MOT it’s worth scrap sadly, even if I’m good condition, without the MOT any buyer is taking a gamble that it will pass, if it doesn’t it may still only be worth scrap.

You can usually add a car to your existing policy if you have another car, temporarily for a week or so for usually a modest price just to get it MOTd then it could be worth £400 ish if in very good nick.

If you don’t want the hassle, and no one here want it, then you could see what it will go for on eBay, you might get a few pounds, to clear some space in the garden

So maybe I'll put some more effort towards an MoT. I know it was parked up in a good state with a fairly fresh MoT. And it has been parked up under a well ventilated car port.

Where are you based?

You can get covered for a day (it's how I collect eBay purchases) to get to MOT. These guys...

...are good but it's much a muchness really as there a plenty out there.

You can drive to a pre-booked MOT and back with no issues.

Like Andy said, sadly without an MOT your Punto would be scrap money. £40-60 a Ton locally at the moment. :(

Being a less desirable model and high mileage not really one for the classic market.

Good shell donor for a Punto GT restoration if solid.

If you're local to me (north west Norfolk) and need any help with the MOT let me know.

Edited to add, your Punto is a 60S 1242cc 8V not 1.1

I agree with above comments, worth basically nothing without an MOT, they just aren't that desirable yet despite becoming super rare in decent condition.

I've let this run a little while but it should be in the classifieds if you want to sell rather than give away as per forum rules.

Once you made up your mind about what your gonna do, whether to just sell or get MOT'd please post in the classifieds, thread closed.

GLWTS! Hope it finds a loving home.
