This is my first ever post!!

I've bought some new led washer jets and having no end of problems fitting them!...

I've tried and tried to remove the washer jets from my Punto 60 SX but no luck

I can see the tubing which I can pull off the two jets, that then leaves another plastic connector, I just can't see how to take off the jets themselves, do I need a special tool?

They are very difficult to get to any help would really be appreciated from anyone that has ever fitted them

It's hard to describe but with the bonnet up and looking at the jets I can see a plastic connector which is about 3-4 cm long that fits directly to a jet when I twist that I can't release the washer jet, so ther must be a nut holding the jet in place but I can't see it!

Any ideas how to hook the LED to the headlight would help (Black wire goes to ground, red to a front headlight)

I wouldn't advise wiring led to head lamp, wire tham on there own with a switch, because some old bill reckon they are illegal,

Hey dude, the washers come off with a little mucking around. They are held on front and back with 2 spring clips. I got mine off with a screwdriver. Wire them to a switch and to the cigarette lighter.

Im just down the road in Dartford and i'm about every weekday if you need help. I personally wouldn't go for LED squirters because they look crap but thats up to you.

Thanks for the tips, I unclipped the jets using a screwdriver and it worked!!

Cheers for that, I then wired the red to the headlight and black to ground, I was thinking of getting a switch though because I don't necessarily want them on all the time, I like the chrome jets, look alot better than the standard black ones and also they squirt a decent spray of windscreen washer across the glass - Nice

You can have them on legally if they are white LEDs.

I also have purchased these LED washers but i dont know where to connect them for power. any ideas?

Where dould i get a switch from and are they expensive?

i dont like d leds my self but ive got a full green neon kit on my black punto and i wired them up to
the fog light switch so u can turn them on with a decent switch instead of a lame one. all u need to do is locate the fuse and run it off that with an inline fuse as well.i took my rear fog bulbs out as they wer blinding people

You just have to connect the live to the battery, pass the negative cable through the bulkhead (same way the amp power cable would), join this - wire to a swtch and then the other side of the switch to a decent earth point.

bodd thought your idea was a good one till hubby pointed out fog lights are on the mot and without them you fail.
i got the led washers and used bulb paint on them to turn them yellow they look brill. i got a seperate internal switch for them.
any ideas on where to get yellow neons as desperate for some, at mo only found external leds in yellow.

Only rear fog lights are on the MOT, if you have front fog lights they have to work. If you take the bulbs out they are no longer lights and will pass.
