Hi guys. I have just become the proud owner, well once all these glitches are fixed of a Fiat Punto 55s 1997 (p reg).
After picking the motor up for £275 and having the suspension spring and cam belt done (for £150). i have noticed that a few of the bulbs are out.
I have of course replaced the bulbs and the only one that i cannot get working is drivers side side lamp, no matter what i do it just wont work! very frustrating. Also i have various fuses missing in the fuse box on the right hand side of the steering wheel, trouble is, there was No pull out / drop down panel to tell me what rating the fuses are or what they are too?
i have scouted the Haynes manual 10,000 times and cannot figure out the wiring diagram.
Also can the entire dashboard and center console be knocked out by a fuse? as i have heard of 1 or 2 bulbs going, but the entire lot? i mean its a joke when i tried to drive the vehicle home one night after i bought it as im usually a day driver but just so happened to have to drive home that night, was not very happy when i had to ry and guess what speed i was doing!? i tell you i soon pulled over.

Please can someone pm me or put on here a copy of the back of the pull down panel and a copy of what fuses need to go where all round the car?
i have a Fiat Punto 55 S, not SX, and S.

any help would be much appreciated as i wanna get all these problems resolved asap as you can all probably appreciate.

Kind Regards

ACompton

I'd go to a scrappy, get a fuse box (or just the panel). You might be lucky and find a soggy Owner Handbook in there!

For the sidelight, test for 12v with a multimeter. Check for continuity between the earth (will be black wire) and chassis earth, take it from there.

Ok thanks for that buddy, will keep you updated wen I have had a chance to get to scrappy :)

After much dilemma and ripping the wiring apart to see if there was a break in any of the wiring. To much delight I found the problem to be a 10amp fuse that was missing. Now my dash lights work. My console lights work. My rear tail light works and so does the sidelight that I couldn't get to work. BUT
And I no there is always a but, after putting In thT 10amp fuse and jumping up and down with joy that it all worked. When I tried turning it off and took the key out the ignition, everything then stayed on.... And only way I could get it to turn off was to take the fuse out ......
