Hi,

I am just back from a bodyshop and they have quoted me £1350 for a full respray inc the arches in doors, boot and also spraying and fitting my rear spoiler. I dont know if this is good or too good to be true I live in Glasgow.

Thanks Kirsty

It depends on the amount of marks, dings rust etc they have to fix and the type of paint you want. If they remove trim rubbers (the best way to do it) the cost goes higher.
Straight-forward spraying a pair of bumpers is from £200.

TBH, its a lot of cash to spend for cosmetics on an old car. But if you are building a show special - who knows - sky's the limit.

Im with WhiteSEI on this one, depending on the circumstances would depend on what you do, but you could buy another car with the colour your after for that sort of money + selling yours.

I owned a fair number of cars over the years. Only once did I ever had a vehicle resprayed & soon as I did I regretted doing so right from the start for lots of reasons, mainly not worth the money.

As pointed out under certain circumstances it may be what you want, but then again on an old wee car.........:chin:
