So, my mk2 failed to find reverse (which happens a lot, common problem?) but unfortunately I was trying to park behind a skip, parked on a hill, at work. I now have a series of scratches on my bonnet. I'm guessing the only solution is a respray.

How much am I looking to pay?

theres always a 601 bonnet on the bay
i wouldnt bother getting that fixed
save your money for some extra driving lessons

:D:D:D

Bonnet Change is a 2 man job to make it easier

Anyway - Either Ignore it been there (claim an elephant sat on your car (like a 206))

Or just try a scrappy
Resprays around me were 200 for a roof, bonnet probably not much cheaper....

how?
you can see the primer

I can see scratches, the quality of the picture is far to bad to say its primer colour coat or just the light reflecting off the scratched clear coat. (y)

in all fairness it probably is pretty badly scratched but a go over with a MOP will make it look 10 times better than it currently does

this mop.......... should he put any floor cleaner in the bucket too?

those light refractions are skip marks to me :D by the way
if he really wanted to save money he could touch them all in with some black paint on a matchstick
paint looks like solid black 601 to me with no lacquer:)

I thought it was the dark grey metalic?

you should never use floor cleaner to MOP a car, you should get all the pine fresh smell you need from a good rearview mirror mounted air freshener.

I do agree with the comment further up, it would be cheaper to buy another Mk2 than have the bonnet painted

It's dark grey metallic. Have emailed a couple of companies for quotes.

Have tried cleaning it up and it looks a tiny bit better, I'm female btw so I want it to look good ;)
