Hey guys, i know theres many of you looking to buy, or have bought, a ford focus induction kit. And or £40 or-so, what a bargin!
(**These only fit an 8v, 1.2 engin**)

I recently fitted mine, but i found that after i fit it following the instructions in the Fiatorum Guide section, it developed a rattle when pulling away. This was a fairly loud rattle too.

Therefore i decided to re-evaluate my options and began to fiddle around, looking for other places to position it.

I found that there was looooads of space behind the battery, but the tubing was far to long.

So after much deliberation i plucked up the courage to chop the pipe down around 2 and a half inches using a hacksaw. Now it fits in that space perfectly and theres loads of room around it, so now i dont even need to use a bracket to hold it in place as it moves freely without hitting anything.

Theres plenty of air getting to it as it circulates up through the bottom of the car so theres no problem with using this method.

I recommend this sooo much to other ford focus induction kit users, unless anyone has any objections.

ah very nice! also gets it away from the exhausts and also most probably would give the induction air would be alot cooler!

You cant hear anything unless you put your foot down, therefore it is ideal for me. I dont wanna come across as a boy racer, however if i put my foot down it will sound more aggressive

good stuff man.
i've had mine in the position it's said in the guide for a while now, and i keep having trouble with rattling/brackets coming loose etc. sometimes when i've been driving for a while the brackets dont seem to hold, and the stainless pipe ends up sitting on the engine which gets REALLY hot, which i imagine is giving me less performance than it would be in that position. gunna give this a try tomorrow.

I am looking into putting it this way as well, would it not be feasable to put it in like this, then it is pointing down further?

EDIT: forget it, it all pretty much works out the same way anyway!
