Hi Everyone new on here so be gentle,My son has got a punto GT Which i repair when he breaks it,The car started overheating but the top hose was getting hot and nothing else,I assume its the water pump as water is getting past the stat to heat the top hose,Anyway was told the pump was driven off of the cam belt,I start stripping i removed what i thought was the water pump and to my horror it was some sort of shaft going to the dizzy on the front of the engine,OH SOD IT.I bought a CD Manual off e bay which is next to useless,Im really stuck now firstly what was the shaft i removed and would i have done any damage (i pushed it back in and bolted it home)Where is the water pump and where are the bloody timing marks and lastly why cant you get a haynes manual fot a GT.SOMEONE HELP
