I have a T-reg Punto sx and I have recently noticed the windows take an hour or so to demist, wiping them is no use as it seems a film of some sort is left on them.

The heating and demister itself works fine in that hot air is coming through ok, but I have been told this is likely to be due to a blocked pollen filter (fibre glass dust causing the film).

However, I can't seem to easily locate the pollen filter. I would be grateful if someone could point me in the direction as I am sure this can't be doing anyone in the car any good either.

sx dont have one, an elx does, seems like tiny hole in heater matrix to me

Maybe your windows are greasy cause you wiped them with dirty cloth...
It's normal for them to mist, especially back windows, but on my mk2 if you hit speed 4 on fan and direct ait to windows only, it demists in no time. Then you direct air to feet+face and use side holes to demist side mirrors
