Has the car had a service lately?
The injector light could be all manner of things...you ould try running some injector cleaner through the vehicle to see if that helps.

thanks for that will try some injecter cleaner and yes it had a full service excluding cambelt the other day but could you give me some reasons as to why the red injecter light comes on

cheers eva

may need a set of plugs or a new lambda probe more likelly

why not get the codes read as the light has been on they will be stored in the memory

then it will be easy to fix

how do i read the codes can i do it my self like you can with vauxhalls or do i have to take it to a dealer ship

cheers eva

only be read with a computer

dealers have the best one thou i know i use one every day

fias test equipment is one of the best

all these other scanners are just rubbish

should be something like 30to40 for a diagnostics test

if you go to a dealer ask for a print out

you will get a sheet labbled examiner at the top

scan this and post it on the forum and we can all have a look

had the same problem with my nplate 55s. put new spark plugs in and it's been ok since, but check for loose ht leads as well.

great news ive sold the problem i put a new lambda sensor in took of the battery terminals then replaced every thing gave the carb a good clean with some carb cleaner took it for a run this afternoon for a hour now shes mint good on fuel and no holding back and no misfire so thanks for every ones help and advice you were great THANK YOU

if you new what was really involved in printing out the codes from a cars ecu
you would call 5quid a rip off lol

no harder than using a pay phone honestly

then again dealers have to pay for the diag equipment some how

How much is an Fiat diag equipment? The real one....

And yes, any cost is too much cause you just plug a diag tool (special cable computer), and read through some menus, but you gotta charge something, 20ish is OK if you ask me, it will keep the borring "read my codes only after car wash" guys away :D
I see myself in this sittuation every day, how to explain to someone that installing Windows is an wizard thing, but I charge it cause it's what I went to school for, and try it yoursel, and I bet youll mess something up, like forgeting to backup not so obviuous things such as emails, contacts, favorites, history maybe...

And IMO it should be free of charge after it has been serviced at a garage, no matter what was the car in the garage for...

i check ecu's for errors and updates after every service on fiats it's part of the service and the updates are esensial

and yes it's ery eay to destroy an ecu with even fiats examiner

just start doing something like an ecu update then unplug it that destroys the ecu

and they cant be force flashed after that happens
