Yeah it can be done, get the replacement dials panel of a Punto SX and you will need a temperature sender.
A Haynes Manual will show you how to connect up the rev counter, run a wire from pin 23 (PLEASE DOUBLE CHECK THOUGH) - with the haynes manual - as im working from memory here, and then connect in where the power supply for the clock used to go (ie cut the power supply wire) insulate the end properly! and then splice the rev counter wire onto the plug.
The rest of the wiring is exactly the same, and everything else should work. The temperature sensor on the S models (back of the cylinder head) wont work with the gauge - as it is just a switch that is either on, or off, depending on the temp, rather than giving a varying output with the temperature. Just unscrew this and screw in the temp sender.
