General Radiator Drain Tap

Hi guys. I need a drain tap for my 2012 1.4 Punto radiator. The original was white (ish) plastic. An alternative that fits is OK.

Thanks in advance.

Hi

Probably a standard metric thread..

So you could use a screw: bolt

Did you look at a direct replacement ?

Shop4parts can probably help there..

Or search yourself ;)

Thanks. I already tried this, but no separate part is listed. Used parts vendors on ebay don't want to sell the tap separately.

This is a screenshot of one on ebay. 13mm wrench but 8mm screw too small diameter too small. I think it may be 10mm thread, but I'm afraid of damaging it and I only have a 10mm which is 90mm long. [emoji853] Screenshot_20210217_195919_com.ebay.mobile.jpeg

Is it not just the hose union..?

Compare the pitch ( coarseness .. distance between the peaks)

Of your m10 to the thread in thd rad body

Your m10 is 1.5mm pitch
M12 would be 1.75

If it looks a LOT coarser.. it could be 1/2 inch (12.7mm)

So a 1/4inch BSP pipe fitting from a plumbers could be what you need

Where are you based?

I travel the M4.. Charlie
