Has anyone else found that the angled eye headlights especially the dipped beam part are adjusted way too low.

I have adjusted the setting to 0 but the angle is still way too low, I have upgraded the bulbs to philips extreme but to no avail. Sometimes I even believe these are dangerously low especially when driving on roads that don't have lights from 11pm till 6am.

Has anyone else noticed this or have solved this then please share the information! :)

Find a flat piece of ground with a wall. Point the car at the wall, close to, with dipped beam on. The top of the flat beam should be at or just below the level of the centre of the lamp. Now draw back about 10 metres. The top of the flat part of the beam should drop a little, no more than 2-3 cm. (Do this with the setting on 0, lights at their highest.) The adjuster inside is only to compensate for loading.

If they are too low, open the bonnet, on the headlamp will be two screws, that adjust it up/down and left/right. Tweak one a little, see which way it moves. Once you've found the right one, adjust to the "right" place. Repeat with other side, ensure they are a pair.

In the dark, if other vehicles are upset at you, use the load adjuster temporarily and tweak them both down a bit.

Alternatively, get your local garage to do it on their setting equipment. Results can vary from perfect to bad, as you've already found out.

Selecting a suitable area to point lights at a wall can be difficult. Don't trespass, or go anywhere where you are likely to be mugged or arrested.

Brilliant thank you for your replys I have now adjusted it to what I believe is an adequate level.

Now that I can actually see my bulbs I'll look at getting some better headlight bulbs.
