Hi everyone.

I own a 2008 Fiat Bravo 1.4 90Bhp on 57930 miles and the gearbox has goosed.

Another member has recommended I try researching whether the Punto gearbox would do..

Obviously Punto's are more common to source a second hand one, and are more reliable boxes then the Bravo.

Thanks for reading FIATers

Hi,
I know the Stilo were heavy on gearboxes,
surely if it's a compatible / similar box it will have similar problems..??,
I would ask in the "technical" section to see what's interchangeable,

maybe look on EPER ( top of homepage) to suss out the part numbers of your g-box against others,

Charlie

Usually its the same gearbox and engine configuration over each model. However, not entirely accurate though.

I can get you the fiat part number for the gearbox assembly from EPER (The above link doesn't do the Nuovo Bravo.)

EDIT:
Ok, my EPER system states that its a C350 gearbox (Don't know if thats right though). Part number 55205219 is the C350. The other gearbox's listed for the Nuovo Bravo seems to be the M32 (1.9 MJet) and the F40 (2.0 MJet).

Grande Punto Gearbox's are different part numbers, however, they will fit regardless. The driveshafts would be your next problem though. Maybe better sticking with the C350 :)

My brother recently had to have his oil seal on the box changed on his bravo but because it was leaking it had out unnecessary wear on his clutch. Maybe that's what's happened to?

brill, thanks for the numbers. Ive managed to get a 2nd hand one from hills breakers for £250 + vat, only done 5500 miles but my work (rhymes with carnold shark) are going to look at it before it goes in... Just gotta fit the bugger now :(
