Hello everyone,

Need to start thinking about getting my varaitor replaced on my HGT as its been on the way out for 6 months and is getting very noisy all the time now.

Question is has anybody ever attempted to replace it themselves. I see you can buy a new variator on ebay for £90. I have been looking around for sometime for a procedure todo this job. Theres no Haynes for the HGT so that idea is out the window. I brought a Workshop CD from ebay 6 months ago and it does have a procedure but its not very well explained and the pictures arnt very good.

Using the search i cant find any previous posts of people replacing it themselves. Is this because its such a pain in the ar*e todo that its worth paying the 500+ for fiat todo it?

If someone has a procedure or can explain the basic steps for me that would be great.

Cheers, Adam
