I am currently trying to sort my sporting gearbox problems. I have taken the gearbox to pieces and it appears the diff is the part than is shot. Basically the diff teeth are completely worn (have a 'spare' box too that has gone the same way!!). The 1.6 box breaks into 3 main pieces with the diff coming away separately.
Does anyone know if / where I can get the diff repaired or even get hold of the cogs to rebuild it myself?? Has anyone else ever done this??
It appears it would be fairly straightforward to put right and if I can get the parts cheaply enough I will repair both boxes and have a spare box to sell.
