I'm also having a squeking noise from my clutch pedal of 2000 HLX Punto.I've found out that there is a loose rubber seal (i guess) on the underside of the pedal which i can feel with my fingers but not visible becos it is blocked by the top plate and maybe that could be the cause.I'm trying to figure out how to remove the black plate on top to access to the seal or mounting.Any help or suggestion is appreciated.

I've had a squeak clutch (no laughing now) pedal for as long as i've had the car, not got any worse so just left it. Mine was recently making a clicking / squeaking when I pressed the clutch but this was coming from under the bonnet, local mechanic dolloped a good bit of grease on it and hey presto, prob solved - wouldn't be this by any chance?
