hi there
hope someone can give me a bit of advice regarding my punto,it is a 1.2 1997 model,i have only had it about 2 weeks,it runs perfect,but its a real pain when trying to start it ,,the engine turns over fine,it will fire but not keep running,it does not matter if its hot or cold its still bad to start.and takes about 10 tries before it will keep running,could it be the injectors that need cleaning.

You are waitin for the little code light o go off and the injector light arent you?

just been to try it now,waited for code and injector lights to go out,it did start but for about 15 seconds it wanted to stall again,had to keep it going by pressing/releasing accelerator,then it would tickover fine.

When was it last serviced?

the car was serviced in may this year

Get it hooked up to examiner,quickest & easiest way unless you want to chance it on lambda sensor/throttle body/potentiomer etc

That probably is your best bet seeing as you may spend ££££'2 guessing. Has the car been standing long, and the fuel had gone bad?

i have been following punto jr sx75 advice on waiting for the injector light to go out before trying to start the engine up.and its been fine for the last couple of days,i guess i was just waiting for the code light to go out and not watching the injector light,thanks to all for your advice.
