Just found out how tough these little cars are.....had a minor incident with some black ice this morning down a country lane and instead of just clipping the nice soft earth embankment managed to find the only Boulder there, although perhaps that's just as well as it meant i didn't hit a very solid gatepost instead.... Fortunately the Chassis and front cross member are fine, just the Bumper mount got bent which has pulled the bottom radiator mountings back and the Bumper reconfigured, Front Tyre is stuffed but wheel looks Ok apart from some scratching on the rim both sides, no cracks that i can see.
Suspension, Driveshaft and steering all untouched, car still drives OK although it looks crap with the Space saver wheel on.Head light is also untouched, even the fog light still works although it now points in a different direction.

Very lucky to have not done more damage and that you’re not hurt.

This sort of thing can often put a car on its roof so the punto did get off very lightly. A new bumper and no one will notice.

Im actually impressed that it moved the boulder as far as it did, was going down the hill at 15MPH in the dark with the Brakes lightly on when that happened, soon as i hit the Black ice steering went light brakes locked and car sped up...couple of seconds and no time to react and Bang....spun the car sideways which made it interesting to move the car..Road is only as wide as the Punto is Long as i now know .
Took the Photo's on the way back home from work, hence i know the car drives ok, gave me a chance to pick up the Black grill that goes on the foglight, and the rest of the number plate and also to see what i actually hit. Was too dark at the time it happened to see what I'd hit.
Already priced a new Bumper, Brand new one in Black Primer on Ebay is £90.
Hardest thing is gonna be bending the bumper mount forward, but will find a way

Quick Update, Just had the wheel checked and it's all still true, no cracks so have a new Tyre on there now and refitted to the car. Much nicer driving with the Alloy on instead of the Space saver spare, was bloody horrible driving with that, especially as being a lot narrower than the alloys and with a higher profile Tyre it was noticeable through the steering being as it's a front wheel drive car....
Guess i was Lucky it's just the Bumper mount Bent and the front Bumper stuffed,
