I am absolutely losing my mind trying to figure out how to change the aux belts on my mk2 punto. This should be a simple job but I'm finding it incredibly difficult!



Here is the setup in my car. It's a 2000 1.2 16v sporting punto with air con. I have two belts spread across three pulleys (1 on the alternator, 1 on the AC unit, 1 on the crank), but for some reason cannot seem to figure out how to remove the belts. Please, can someone explain this to me? Pics and a video would be even better since the Haynes manual is just confusing me even more.

I DONT have this car but the alternator usually has three bolts and moves to take up the slack/adjustment..hth

thank you! so, that sorts out one belt, how to remove the other? could i take off the crank pulley?

I just run a thin screwdriver under the belt and hook it off ...and replace it using the same in reverse..
