Just got a NCT fail(mot) saying that the flexible hoses were fitted to the Suspension strut incorrectly. Would anybody have a picture showing the hoses positioned correctly? Many thanks.

I think there is a picture in my mk2 front brakes swap.....

Often on a strut swap they snap the bolt for the correct clamp and fit it wrong

And when this happens - the brake hose starts to rub on the wheel
How do i know?!
I lost my brakes at 70mph downhill towards a red light....

Trust me... poo... did come out....

Thanks Ziggy!! Mine burst a few months back,luckily at 20MPH Thought i fitted it correctly but will check against your pic in morning. It wasnt the only thing it failed on, looking like 100 euro worth of parts and lot of work! Oh the joys of motoring!

I rubbed 1... replaced it....

No2 rubbed and burst...

Then i realised it was way different....
