Hi all,
MY 17 year old mk2 punto failed mot today for rusty floor pan on just one area,and also rusty chassis near rear exhaust.
Just wondering should I pay out to get new metal welded in,or should I cut my losses and get rid of car.
I hope to get the work done for approx. 150 quid if I am lucky,just guessing.

Let me guess. Rear footwell.
Get it checked out thoroughly before going ahead. It could be the tip of the iceberg.
Our failed two years ago on rear footwells and outer sill on the o/s.
Guy up the back of the mountain restores MGs and laughed at it as a 'problem'. Fixed it up for 50 yoyos and all good so far.
