Head gasket replacement, Head bolts stuck

So I've been working on my car and it needed a new head gasket, low compression on 2&3 cylinder, emulsion in the oil e.t.c, Now i took the head extension off and I'm stuck on the head bolts. I've ruined a couple of the head bolts already they're so tight.. I have tried a blow torch but i never wanted to warp the head anymore, Is there any way of taking them out, Drilling? , I'm willing to do anything.

Re: Head gasket replacement, Head bolts stuck

Are you using a twelve or six point socket. The six grips much better and the twelve if worn or not of the best quality will slip.

Which engine? Assuming it's a 16v since you're talking about ribe bolts?

If that's the case, try and hammer a spline bit in to it. Done it many times before, just got to be lucky and kiss your ratchet before you give it some pain

The smaller M8 Ribe is needed on the head extension which you have written you have removed.

From checking this board, The much larger M9 Ribe is needed for the head bolts.

The splines of that drive look a bit thin to be a ribe drive.

My ribe looks like this

I think you have a torq drive there or something like it. The splines should be totally square.
