Currently reading:

The last person who came here with a very similar set of 'everything is ok' responses had a busted head gasket.

So a compression test is needed.

Ok mate i will try now really doin me head as to why not start timing is bang on tried everything u guys tell me n thankyou for the info
 
What was the Readings per cylinder?
so youve got Fuel., spark. but no start?
is the bottom pulley on correctly as it been disturbed?
there is a locating dot see..and if not in right place it will never run,

Im suspected that too old hammer
im just re-reading through the thread to see whats whats been said - done

Im been thick here - the bottom pulley cant have physically jumped....
Just not possible when it originally failed

OP - i know this may sound stupid
But its gonna be plain and simple this fault its gotta be

There are 4 fuses that power the ECU and its mates

Cabin Fuse box - Fuses F11 - 16 - 18 - 22
There is also 1 relay that powers up all the sensors/actuators - Relay K46

I'd try swapping the relay for the Engine Control side for a system that isn't needed
Personally
based on my image here - i'd swap G + E Around
G i believe to be the engine control relay
E - is the Cooling Fan Blower relay (not important while we test - as the engine has to get upto temperature first)

If the car suddenly now works with G + E Swapped, then simply a duff relay is all it was

I can confirm that Relay G (K46) is the engine control (ECU) which in turn suppkies the fuel pump, so if you can hear the pump then then relay is working.
 
had a guy came out tonight he set all the timing up still no joy got good spark and compression came up with u1601 code still would not turn over is the fuel cut off switch supposed to stop down when you press it in or will the immobilizer stop it firing

U1601 - thats key related code

The immboliser will stop the spark and fuel from occouring

The fuel cut of switch I think does fuel only - not sure about spark though
