hey there all ,
thanks for giving me the chance to discuss issues i'm interested about and need to know more of it ,
i was driving normally today when i passed by a ditch on the side of the road
after i can't shift any gear to the engine .and i hear some noises when i kick some gas to the engine ,
i haven't tightened the chassis bolts for a while now .
was it the gearbox not mounted right after that little incident i had and need only to bolten up or is it something else .
help required please if you could ,
best regards
adem:)

forgive my bad lang ,
it was just a little hole on the side of the road . just a pump on the road .
the levers feels too light ,

you hit a pot hole :) A Hole in the road

After then you've lost the ability to select gears, the gearsticks gone stupidly light

My guess is the gear linkages have snapped or 1 of them has
A friend wiggles gearstick while you have head at back where gearbox is - the selectors are behind the battery on the gearbox

As they wiggle left and right - you should see 1 linkage move, and as they go forwards and backwards, you should see the same movement

The other thing is the ball joint may have popped off

Just for your information as well - we dont all sit on the forum all day, most work or have busy day lives, so answers dont always come quickly

What does the gear lever feel like?

What do you mean you passed by a ditch? I am assuming that means something fairly bad!

On a left hand drive car if you look down between the brake fluid reservoir and the cars computer (the thing with the two big red plugs with thick cables) you can see the gear selector cables. If the gear lever is being moved in all directions then both parts on the two ends of the cables should be moving. You can see the lower part by looking from that location but the other one you will have to feel for with your hand - it might be easier to reach for from in front of the battery box - mind your fingers though.

Let us know what you find
