I have a 1996 Fiat Punto Selecta. When I select Drive It still runs like it is LOW, and when I shift between Low and Drive it make no difference, it still feels like its in Low all the time, Can anyone help?

hi it sounds like a similar problem i had with my wifes old auto box on her selecta it think it was the clutch slipping .when it is in low the the car doesnt go above a bout 40 mph does it go above this when it is in drive ?
i think there is a switch on the bell housing that tells the gearbox which mode to select it is like a cam .

It will go to over 60 mph in either Low or Drive. It make no difference which range you select D or L.
