Often a little heat set in

You need to press in while pulling/wiggling

My cigarette lighter is stucked inside - meaning that the button is pressed and won't release. On touch it feels that it isn't heating.

ha, I had the same head scratcher very recently.

There is a release tab on the side of the plastic connector. you need to engage this before pulling out the wires, common to lots of auto electrical connectors. Look closely you'll see it

From what I remember, it's push with your thumb, and ease the connector out
