Can anyone advise if it is possible to remove and refit the anti-roll bar without removing the exhaust mid section?

If it is, it's not too bad a job for access on the drive, otherwise a lot more difficult.

No, you'll need to disconnect the middle pipe where it joins the front part at the flex pipe.
You'll need something to hold the middle pipe up after is been disconnected, then you should be able to get the entire roll bar out, 2 bolts holding on each of the 4 bushens.

Its 2 nuts for the middle pipe/flex joint. May sure its well secured on axle stands before venturing underneath

The bolts on the exhaust flange look rusted solid. Heat and oil probably.

And I'll need a new exhaust flange gasket.
