hi my friend has a 2002 reg fiat punto 1.2, just recently she was driving and the car broke down and everytime she restarted the car and tried to pull off it simply cut out, so we have replaced the battery, but the problem still remains i have cleaned the throttle valve out with wd40 and it has made a slight difference have also tried changing the coil packs, but the car is still very sluggish when driving and when you pull off the revs drop to about 500 revs?? anyone else had this problem before????? its basically really low revs when the engine is cold and it stalls alot but it gets better as it heats up? any help would be great

I would look to cleaning the idle speed control valve first

hi we have taken off the air box and cleaned the butter fly valve?? where is the idle speed control valve?? many thanks

Its the same thing. Need to clean it properly. not wd40
