I'm bringin my old mk1 punto home I'm doin it up as a project car. It hasnt been started in over a year and a half because I was told the headgasket went but the car just wouldnt start and I've heard it would start even if the headgasket is gone. I was just wonderin I'm gonna be draining the petrol to refill it so where is the sump that I drain it from? I'm assuming its under the car but where bouts? Thanks everyone

Well there was no problem with the car no smoke nothing so I really dont believe it is the HG and how do I drain the fuel then? Thanks

me pesonally i would take tank off and empty fuel out and clean the tank out with fresh petrol
