Im wondering if anyone can help me, my heater on ,my 98 punto. Dont laugh, when its started up from cold lets say; and you leave it running on the driveway to get the car nice and warm; the car still blows cold air no matter how logn its sat there. you can hear the radiator fan kicking in, and the temp going up, but still cold air coming out of vents.
The ONLY way to get hot air coming out is to sit in the car for a few minutes and rev the car to approx 2000rpm and then the heat starts to come through... Can anyone give me any idea as to what is wrong with the heater?
I have bled the pipes b4 you ask, both screws, and there isnt any air coming out of them. Plus have checked the water and its fine.
And there is no noise of water gurguling inside the car when started from cold.
Any help would be nice
Thanks :)

Try a radiator flush (chemical stuff) then change the water in the system, While you have it drained i would change the thermostat as well, Only £20 for a new one.

First check is really whether the control knob for the heater is doing anything/much. After that, flushing compound (only about £3 a bottle). I'd be inclined to rule out the thermostat.

I suggested the thermostat as the system has to be drained to do the flush, and as they are a little prone to failing you might as well do it at the same time. (not having a go just thought i would explain myself a bit more)

Remember youll also need antifreeze as well.
