Well.. the aftermath of me forgetting I had no brakes... this was when I was doing the drums and shoes but i had to move the car.
Ain't too bad just moved the left side back a bit by a few inches. Hit at like 4-5mph..
Only idea i have is to use a tow rope and put it on another car i have (it's 1.7tonnes) and the other end of the tow on the bent area and reverse the punto slowly with someone watching how it's going.
Only one part of the frame is bent, where the rad is.
Excuse me if it's a stupid idea or even bending it back is stupid :p
any advice would be great though.
Cheeeeeeeers

Hi,

Your lucky that you didn't bend the main chassie. The cross-bar at the front that is bend should be either replacable with soldering or bent back into shape. ( if you are bending back into shape, i'm not sure if it will pass an MOT or NCT. )

Yeah, it went into a wall straight on.. sorta. i was trying to park it !
Don't worry about the MOT but do you think the tow bar thing will work? i'll be reversing the punto to bend it...

Don't mind the towing eye, just tie it onto the bar thats bend uptop. Don't floor it in reverse, do it bit by bit until its somewhat straight. You can do the rest with a slege hammer...

I have way to much practice at this....lol

Nice, that's just what i was plannin to do (y)
cheers for the confirmation of a 'good idea' lol!
thanks

you cant get hold of a large rachet strap can you? one of the ones lorry drivers use is perfect,,easy to use and you can stand at front of car and see how much you need to pull out ,,you might have to pull it out slightly beyond the level as it will spring back slightly when you release strapping.

that's a great idea! but can you connect it to two things? (anchor and the punto)

Yes, or loop it round both and back to itself.

If no trees, use a lamp post.

Or try the Toyota TeamEurope method of straightening a very bent Celica rally car. Landcruiser on each end and and drive away from each other.

Cheers
