Hi. I'm trying to change the gearbox on my sisters punto (Mk 1, 1.2, 60sx), there was a horrible grinding noise coming from the box I've just removed. I've got a salvaged one for £35 (was a good runner before I'm told), but I now have a problem.....

The salvaged gearbox, doesn't have the cups for the driveshafts to sit in. Of course, whilst it doesn't have them in, I'll change the oil seals, but how do I get the old cups out of the old box please - do they just 'pull'? Any advice would be appreciated!

they just pop out, you need some big bars and sledge type hammer usually, its a bastard
