Hello everywhone,

I'm wondering with sound my diesel punto would give (engine 1.9, without turbu's etc, just a normal diesel) if i remove the backbox?

Diesels do not a back box - especially one's with turbo's the only problem you may get is druming at certain road speeds [ the turbo damps down most exhaust noise] it will allow the turbo to spool up quicker though!!

I thinks a write in my message that I there are NO turbo's in my car...

It's a 1.9D, not JTD

it will be LOUD, remember the 1.9D has a cat/PF, a resonator and lastly the backbox.. removing the cat/PF has no effect on noise or performance but will give a hard time passing emissions along with the fact that it will fail the visual inspection..

removing the resonator gives a performance sound at low revs, gets very annoying past 3000rpm especially in the car where everything will rattle..

removing the backbox will be very LOUD with no performance improvement and seems to respond less to throttle input..
