Hello,

I have a mk2 8v with Blaupunkt CD-High factory unit and I'm trying to connect a mp3 player with a cable something like this on the CD Changer slot

http://www.bluespot.co.uk/stock_image/aux_in_xl.jpg

I already have a bluetooth kit connected on the yellow mini ISO,

problem is that it won't switch to AUX mode, if I press on SRC it will change from Tuner to CD and back but not to AUX.

What am I doing wrong?

Personally I wouldnt bother with the factory standard one, even a cheap 50quid aftermarket one will sound 10 times better and will even have a AUX connection on the front

true, but I like the factory one because is the original.

update on my little project:

I did change on AUX input today like this
-turn off HU , press SRC and hold it together with the power on, then release both. Now it will appear on display "CHANGER". I can now hear music from mp3player but very weak and with some noise in the background.

who knows what to do to fix that?

is the plug pushed in fully

turn up the volume on mp3 player

Has to be a mk2 stereo otherwise it won't work. With the stereo off, press and hold the SRC and power buttons. When the display comes on let go of the the SRC button. Display will change to CHANGER, let go of power button. Takes a few tries to get the knack
what about cassette player stereo:confused:
