Could anyone tell me if the MK2 Punto rear covers on the door mirrors be removed without taking off the whole unit ?

Will they "pop" off or are they secured inside the housing ?

They should pop off.

They're on tight though.

I have just had a go today and you were right when you said that are tight though, I can't budge them.

Would you know how to start the process off ?

I was looking for a point where I could use something to to prise them off but was afraid of putting a hole in the plastic.

Looks like there is nothing physically stopping the cover from being removed.

The only reason that one's removed is a close call while having a play on-track

Now I can see the inside it gives me a good idea of what is holding it in place.

Perhaps if I can use something to push away a couple of the lugs from their catch points it will be easier.
