Hello everybody,

mk2 8v active sport and I have a problem with the wipers stalk (remains stuck in the rear washer position). So I would like to take 'em off and give it a look, maybe I can fix it. I did a little bit of searching and the procedure is (correct me if I'm wrong):

1. disconnect batery and live it for 30-60 min
2. remove steering wheel panel (3 bolts behind)
3. remove airbag :chin:
4. remove steering wheel
5. remove stalks.

Is that ok?
But if I disconnect battery for an hour my built in CD player Blaupunkt High will still work? (I am not sure I have the code)

I would appreciate any guide, suggestion, hint, help, beer, or anything.

who knows how to disconnect rear washer (in case I cannot remove/fix stalks)

Take off panel of the boot door. There should be a connector that you can disconnect.

can you take a picture of that connector?

10 mins is enough (disconnecting battery) before removing airbag.

and the CD will ask for the code? I believe 5 min was the longest period with battery disconnected, and the CD didn't ask nothing
